Overview

The Senior IT Support Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring our technology systems run smoothly to support our mission. This position involves troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and providing training to staff and volunteers, all aimed at enhancing our operational efficiency and maximizing social impact in Uganda.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers and networks.
  • Ensure data security and implement best practices for information management.
  • Assist in the procurement and installation of IT equipment and software.
  • Train staff on IT tools and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on IT performance metrics and service levels.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support their technology needs.
  • Develop and document IT policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure reliable internet access.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
