Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the upkeep and functionality of facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our community programs. This role involves managing maintenance schedules, coordinating repairs, and leading a small team to address any facility-related issues promptly and efficiently. The supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational integrity of our nonprofit’s spaces, directly supporting our mission to drive social impact in Uganda.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee regular maintenance of facilities and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Manage and train maintenance staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Conduct inspections and identify areas needing repairs or improvements.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance services.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget effectively.
  • Document maintenance activities and report on progress to management.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
