Overview

The Fleet Maintenance Officer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our vehicle fleet to ensure safe and efficient transportation for our programs. This role involves scheduling regular inspections, managing repairs, and coordinating with service providers, all while promoting best practices in vehicle safety and sustainability. By keeping our vehicles in top condition, the officer supports the organization's mission to drive social impact in Uganda and beyond.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the maintenance and repair of all vehicles in the fleet.
2. Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule.
3. Monitor vehicle performance and address any issues promptly.
4. Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs.
5. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
6. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
7. Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment.
8. Assist in budgeting for fleet maintenance and repairs.
9. Train staff on proper vehicle use and maintenance protocols.
10. Report on fleet status and recommend improvements as needed.
