Overview

The Assistant IT Manager plays a crucial role in supporting our technology initiatives, ensuring that our systems run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with software implementation, and collaborating with team members to enhance our digital infrastructure, ultimately helping us drive social impact in Uganda.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Support the implementation of technology projects aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff and users.
  • Maintain and update software and hardware inventory.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Train staff on technology use and best practices.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor IT performance and suggest improvements.
  • Assist in budget planning for IT expenses.
  • Document IT processes and procedures for future reference.
