Overview

The Department Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating various programmatic and operational efforts within the organization. This position ensures that projects align with our mission of driving social impact in Uganda, while fostering a collaborative environment among staff and stakeholders. By managing resources and facilitating effective communication, the Department Manager helps amplify our community support initiatives and achieve our goals.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee daily operations of the department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance program effectiveness and outreach.
  3. Manage and mentor staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  4. Monitor and evaluate program performance, using data to inform decision-making.
  5. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless collaboration on projects.
  6. Engage with community stakeholders and partners to build strong relationships.
  7. Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial sustainability.
  8. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  9. Report on departmental progress and challenges to senior leadership.
  10. Promote the mission and values of Little x Little within the community.
