Computer Technician

Overview

The Computer Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing computer systems to ensure smooth operation of our nonprofit platform. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing support to staff and volunteers, and ensuring that all technology resources are up-to-date and functioning effectively to support our mission in Uganda.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for staff and volunteers.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Provide technical support and training to users on software applications.
  • Manage and update inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on all computer systems and peripherals.
  • Assist in the implementation of new technology solutions and upgrades.
  • Ensure data security and backup protocols are followed effectively.
  • Document technical procedures and user guides for reference.
  • Collaborate with other team members to enhance IT services.
