Overview

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of our facilities to ensure a safe and efficient environment for staff and community activities. This role involves managing resources, coordinating repairs, and implementing best practices for facility management, all while supporting our mission to drive social impact in Uganda.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of facilities to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Manage maintenance schedules for all buildings and equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and services.
  • Develop and implement facility policies and procedures.
  • Monitor facility budgets and expenses, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues.
  • Facilitate space planning and optimization for program needs.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness and response planning.
  • Provide support for events and activities held at the facilities.
