The Prepared Finance
Book is a smart, simple tool designed to help small Ugandan business owners
track their sales, expenses, loans, and goals. We're raising funds to print and
distribute the first 1,000 books to underserved entrepreneurs, starting a
movement of accountability, growth, and financial confidence.
In Uganda, 80% of
small business owners operate informally. Most don’t keep records, which leads
to:
👉 Poor decision-making
👉 No access to credit
👉 Loss of profits
👉 Zero business growth
Many don’t even know
where their money goes. Worse still, financial literacy tools are either too
technical, too expensive, or simply unavailable in their communities.
We’ve created the Prepared
Finance Book, a simple physical record-keeping book tailored to local
realities, even for people who can’t use a smartphone or computer.
Each book includes:
✅ A Quick Start Guide (with illustrations)
✅ Daily Sales and Expenses Tracking pages
✅ Loan / Credit Tracking Pages
✅ Monthly summaries and business goal setting
✅ Tailored Financial Tips for business growth
✅ Support from trained local agents who follow
up and teach usage
We want to print and
distribute 1,000 copies, targeting microbusinesses in rural markets,
trading centers, and urban slums.
This isn’t just a book
— it’s the start of a financial awakening. With continuous use:
✔️ Small business owners will learn to track
profit and loss
✔️ They’ll be able to access credit with
proper documentation
